Cody Davis Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver While Riding Bicycle in Austin
AUSTIN, TX (March 21, 2023) – 37-year-old Cody Davis suffered severe injuries in a hit-and-run on Waller Street on March 10.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened near East 4th Street at approximately 6:00 PM. Based on a report, Davis was riding a bicycle to work when a car hit him near the intersection.
Subsequently, the driver took off. However, Davis managed to walk a couple of hundred feet to the Japanese barbecue restaurant where he works.
At the restaurant, Davis began sweating, slurring his words, and struggling to walk. Paramedics rushed him to Dell Seton Medical Center, where he had surgery for a severe brain injury.
Currently, Davis is recovering and his loved ones have set-up a GoFundMe account to help with his medical expenses.
