Christopher Bartlett Identified in Fatal Crash Involving Suspected DUI Driver Lucinda Begay in Gilbert

 
GILBERT, AZ (May 19, 2023) – Gilbert Police officials identified 23-year-old Christopher Bartlett who died in a motorcycle crash on Williams Field Road on May 15.
 
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Val Vista Drive around 1:30 PM. Based on a report, Bartlett was riding his motorcycle down Williams Field at the time of the crash.
 
Due to unknown reasons, he collided with 49-year-old Lucinda Begay who was making a left turn at the intersection.
 
As a result, Bartlett sustained grave injuries in the incident. Emergency crews arrived and rushed him to the hospital, where he later died.
 
Officers arrested and processed Begay for DUI.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
