Christopher Allan Arrested in Fatal Hit-and-Run on 43rd Avenue [Glendale, AZ]

GLENDALE, AZ (July 11, 2023) – The Glendale Police Department arrested 54-year-old Christopher Allan after a fatal hit-and-run on 43rd Avenue on June 29.
 
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Olive Avenue shortly after 9:00 PM. Based on a report, Allan struck a 66-year-old man in the lanes.
 
Due to unknown reasons, Allan left the scene in his white Chevrolet Malibu.
 
As a result, the victim sustained grave injuries and died at the scene. Officials did not yet identify the deceased, pending kin notification.
 
Witnesses told police they followed the vehicle, got its license plate, and saw Allan get out of it.
 
Investigators were able to locate and arrested Allan, adding they also found cocaine in his pocket.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
