Reckless Driver Involved in Police Chase Accident on 28th Drive in Phoenix

 
PHOENIX, AZ (April 30, 2024) – The Phoenix Police Department confirmed that a child and two adults were hurt in an accident on 28th Drive on April 20.
 
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Peoria Avenue. Based on a report, a Phoenix police officer patrolling the area saw a vehicle driving recklessly.
 
When the driver saw the patrol car, the vehicle fled at high speed. It lost control and crashed into multiple cars. The patrol car attempted to avoid the crash but it hit a child who had run into the roadway. Police said the child was from a vehicle that had been hit.
 
As a result, the child sustained non-life-threatening injuries along with two adults. The Phoenix Fire Department treated and took the victims to the hospital for treatment.
 
The people in the suspect vehicle then ran away from the scene but officers were able to detain them.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
