Chelsea Sanchez Identified in Fatal Fort Stockton Car Crash on FM 1053

 
FORT STOCKTON, TX (October 31, 2022) – One person died and three people were injured in a two-vehicle accident on FM 1053 on Saturday morning, October 22.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened approximately 16 miles west of Crane around 7:00 AM.
 
Based on a report, 29-year-old Fort Stockton resident Chelsea Sanchez was traveling in a 2021 Nissan Rogue southbound on the highway prior to the crash. Due to unknown reasons, she veered across the center line into the northbound lane. Subsequently, her vehicle struck a northbound 2022 Dodge Ram with three individuals inside.
 
Sanchez died at the scene, according to the Justice of the Peace Ward.
 
Crane resident 36-year-old Artemio Sanchez, who drove the Dodge truck, was in stable condition following the crash, He was transported to Crane Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
 
Passengers of the truck, 54-year-old Heliodoro Moreno-Veazquez of Crane, and 20-year-old Melvin Morales of Amarillo, were treated and released.
 
As of now, the fatal crash remains under investigation. However, no other details are available.
