Chaquon Jeffery Identified in DUI Crash on Spur 325 in Wichita Falls

 
WICHITA FALLS, TX (June 9, 2023) – The Wichita Falls Police Department identified 25-year-old Chaquon Jeffery of Wichita Falls who died in a head-on crash on northbound Spur 325 on June 3.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Airport Drive. Based on a report, Jeffery was driving a 2013 Chevrolet Malibu in the northbound lanes of Spur 325 prior to the crash.
 
At the same time, 39-year-old Brandon Wright of Wichita Falls was driving a 2019 Honda Ridgeline and was going south in the northbound lanes of the road. Subsequently, their vehicles collided head-on.
 
As a result, Jeffery sustained severe injuries and died at the scene.
 
Crews transported a passenger in the Malibu to the hospital for treatment of multiple injuries. They rescued and transported Wright to the hospital in stable condition.
 
Police suspected alcohol to be a factor in this crash.
 
As of now, the case remains under investigation. In addition, no other details are available.
