16-Year-Old Boy Killed in Car-Semi-Truck Crash on FM 1794 in Beckville

 
BECKVILLE, TX (June 12, 2023) – Officials identified 52-year-old Chad Wynn of DeBerry who suffered injuries in a fatal crash on FM 1794 on June 3.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Highway 59. Based on a report, Wynn was stopped at a stop sign at the intersection prior to the crash.
 
At the same time, 51-year-old Igor Tkachuk of Orangevale was driving a 2023 Kenworth truck tractor towing a trailer south on the highway. Due to unknown reasons, Wynn failed to yield the right of way to the truck tractor. Subsequently, the truck tractor crashed into Wynn’s passenger side.
 
As a result, Wynn’s passenger, a 16-year-old boy, was pronounced dead at the scene. Officials did not yet release his identity, pending kin notification.
 
Emergency crews transported Wynn to a local hospital for his injuries. Tkachuk was not hurt in the incident.
 
As of now, the case remains under investigation. In addition, no other details are available.
