BASTROP COUNTY, TX (August 11, 2023) – The Bastrop County Sheriff’s Office identified 23-year-old Cesar Bosco Mendoza of Lockhart who died in a hit-and-run on FM 672 on July 30.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, troopers responded to a call about the body of a man in the lanes.
 
Officials later identified Mendoza in the roadway. He sustained grave injuries and died at the scene. Troopers stated that a vehicle hit the victim and drove off.
 
As of now, the case remains under investigation. In addition, no other details are available.
