Cecil George Identified in Fatal Crash Involving Hit-and-Run Driver Jose Tenorio in Stafford
STAFFORD, TX (September 18, 2023) – The Stafford Police Department identified Cecil George who died in a hit-and-run accident in the 13100 block of Murphy Road on September 9.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the accident happened at Greenbriar Drive around 6:17 AM. Based on a report, Georg was leaving a Whataburger restaurant in the area with his brother prior to the crash.
They were stopped at a red light at the intersection when a second vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed hit the back of their car.
As a result, George suffered grave injuries and died at the scene. Authorities did not mention the condition of his brother.
Investigators said the driver of the other vehicle, 20-year-old Jose Antonio Pina Tenorio, ran away from the scene. Police are now asking the public to help them find the suspect and call Fort Bend Crime Stoppers at 281-342-8477.
As of now, the case remains under investigation. In addition, no other details are available.
