LAMESA, TX (September 18, 2023) – The Lamesa Police Department identified 76-year-old Anita Sanchez who died in a pedestrian accident in the 200 block of Bryan Avenue on September 11.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the accident happened shortly before 7:00 AM. Based on a report, a vehicle struck Sanchez in the lanes. Officers did not release the details that led to the crash.
 
As a result, the victim suffered grave injuries and died in the incident.
