Caysen Robinson Suffered Serious Injuries in Fountain Valley Hit-and-Run
FOUNTAIN VALLEY, CA (July 12, 2023) — Caysen Robinson ended up hospitalized after a hit-and-run near Bushard Street and Columbus Court on Tuesday night, July 4.
The incident occurred at around 10:25 p.m., according to the Fountain Valley Police.
Officials stated that Robinson, a 20-year-old Cal State Long Beach student, had been riding home on his bicycle from holiday festivities. While riding in the bike lane, a vehicle, described to be a 2014 or a 2019 Toyota Highlander, crashed into him.
The collision left Caysen with a broken leg, fractures to his face and jaw and a heart rupture. Respondents rushed Caysen to UC Irvine Medical Center, where he underwent heart surgery and wound up in stable condition.
The motorist involved did not stop at the scene and fled in an unknown direction. The case is still under investigation, and the search for the suspect continues.
