Carolina Cabrera-Salgado Killed after Rear-Ending U-Haul Truck in Las Vegas

 
LAS VEGAS, NV (April 17, 2023) – Las Vegas Metro Police identified 25-year-old Carolina Cabrera-Salgado as the victim who died in a rear-end crash on Boulder Highway on April 9.
 
According to the Nevada Highway Patrol, the collision happened at Indios Avenue around 1:47 AM. Based on a report, Cabrera-Salgado was driving a 2020 Toyota Corolla at a high rate of speed on the northbound side of Boulder Highway prior to the crash.
 
At the same time, another woman in a U-Haul moving truck was stopped at a red light at the intersection. Subsequently, the victim failed to slow or stop and rear-ended the truck. Both vehicles then caught fire.
 
As a result, Cabrera-Salgado suffered grave injuries and died in the incident.
 
At this point, officers continue to investigate the case. In addition, no other details are available.
