Carly Spring Identified in Fatal Rockport Accident on Highway 35

 
ROCKPORT, TX (August 11, 2024) – The Rockport Police Department identified 37-year-old Carly Spring of Rockport who died in a jackknife accident in the 4800 block of Highway 35 North on July 22.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at approximately 12:44 PM. Based on a report, Spring was driving a 2013 Cadillac CTS northbound on the highway before the crash.
 
When she entered the westbound turn lane at John D. Wendell Road and crossed into the southbound lane, she collided with a 2015 Ford F350 traveling southbound with a dump trailer. The impact caused the trailer to jackknife and initiate a second collision with the Cadillac.
 
As a result, Spring suffered grave injuries and died d at the scene.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
