Carlsten White Killed in Tucson Car Accident

 
TUCSON, AZ (February 8, 2024) — A 33-year-old man identified as Carlsten Dale White died in a speeding crash early Tuesday, January 30.
 
According to Tucson police, White drove a grey 2011 Nissan Murano south on North Campbell Avenue at around 4:00 a.m. Then the car crashed with a westbound gold 2015 Jeep Cherokee at the East Grant Road intersection.
 
White succumbed to his injuries and died at the crash scene.
 
A passenger in the Nissan and both the driver and passenger in the Jeep sustained life-threatening injuries in the accident. Paramedics transported them to the hospital for treatment.
 
The investigation of the crash is still active. Police said speeding by both vehicles was a contributing factor. They also said White and his passenger did not wear seatbelts.
 
Detectives continue to determine the traffic light sequence at the time of the collision. In addition, they will also investigate if impairment played a role in the crash.
