Carlos Soto Killed in Accident on North Fairgrounds Road at Wadley Avenue [Midland, TX]

Carlos Soto Identified in Fatal Midland Car Accident

 
MIDLAND, TX (December 13, 2023) – Officials identified 34-year-old Carlos Enrique Soto who died in an accident on North Fairgrounds Road on December 5.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened near the southwest corner of the intersection of Wadley Avenue around 2:15 AM. Based on a report, Soto was driving a 2017 black GMC pickup truck northbound on Fairgrounds Road at the time of the crash.
 
Due to unknown reasons, the vehicle left the roadway, striking a traffic pole. Shortly after the initial one-vehicle accident, a white Ford Fusion traveling southbound on Fairgrounds Road struck the wrecked GMC pickup which was still in the roadway.
 
As a result, Soto suffered grave injuries and died at the scene.
 
The driver and passenger of the Ford Fusion sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Crews transported them to Midland Memorial Hospital for treatment.
 
As of now, the case remains under investigation. In addition, no other details are available.
