Motorcyclist Carey King Dies in Sloan Head-On Accident on Las Vegas Boulevard
SLOAN, NV (April 10, 2023) – Police identified 54-year-old Carey Joe King as the victim who died in a motorcycle accident on Las Vegas Boulevard on April 2.
According to the Nevada Highway Patrol, the collision happened near the Seven Magic Mountains art attraction around 3:08 PM.
Based on a report, the victim was driving his motorcycle northbound on Las Vegas Boulevard prior to the crash. At the same time, a Honda Civic was driving southbound.
Due to unknown reasons, the victim attempted to pass the vehicle in front of him and entered the southbound lane. Subsequently, he collided with the Honda head-on.
As a result, King suffered severe injuries and died at the scene.
The driver and two passengers of the Honda were taken to a local hospital for minor injuries.
Police do suspect impairment as a factor in the crash.
At this point, officers continue to investigate the case. In addition, no other details are available.
