Four Pedestrians Struck and Injured by Caren Quiroz-Alvarez in North Las Vegas

 
NORTH LAS VEGAS, NV (March 27, 2024) – Officials arrested 37-year-old Caren Quiroz-Alvarez after hitting four pedestrians on Lake Mead Boulevard on March 12.
 
According to the Nevada State Police, the collision happened at Englestad Street around 9:00 PM. Based on a report, the victims were in a group of pedestrians who entered a westbound lane of Lake Mead Boulevard.
 
Due to unknown reasons, the suspect hit the victims with a Nissan Versa driving westbound on the same road.
 
As a result, the four pedestrians suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Paramedics transported them to the hospital for treatment.
 
Quiroz-Alvarez and her passengers, a 17-year-old and a 6-year-old, were not hurt in the incident.
 
Police said Quiroz-Alvarez showed signs of impairment and was arrested on DUI and child endangerment charges.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
