One Dies, Three Suffer Injuries After Indio Head-On Crash on Fred Waring Drive

 
INDIO, CA (February 19, 2025) — A person died while three other people sustained injuries following a head-on crash on Fred Waring Drive on Friday morning, February 14.

The fatal incident occurred near Avenue 44, according to the Indio Police Department which received a report at around 6:00 a.m.

Officials stated that a BMW sedan being driven by a motorist, who had a 45-year-old woman on board, had drifted into oncoming traffic, for reasons still undetermined.

The BMW then figured in a collision with a Nissan Sentra.

The accident left the female passenger of the BMW dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, the driver of the BMW survived and was determined to be in stable condition.

The motorist behind the wheels of the Nissan ended up in critical condition while two passengers suffered major injuries.

Authorities are still working on determining the cause and circumstances behind the incident.
