YUMA, AZ (February 21, 2025) — A man suffered serious injuries after a reckless driving crash near 13th Street on Friday, February 14.
 
According to the Yuma Police Department, the accident occurred near 13th Street and 3rd Avenue at around 4:24 p.m.
 
Yuma Police said a 37-year-old man drove a Ram pickup truck recklessly through a cemetery. Then he collided with a Honda Accord driven by a 23-year-old man.
 
The impact of the crash caused the Accord to crash into Amberly’s Place, a family advocacy center. It destroyed a memorial outside the building.
 
Emergency responders transported the Honda driver to a Phoenix-area hospital with serious injuries. The Ram driver sustained minor injuries. Officials said they would book the driver into jail after receiving medical clearance.
