Woman Killed in Car Crash on South Powers Boulevard [Colorado Springs, CO]

Fatal Colorado Springs Car Accident on South Powers Boulevard and Fontaine Boulevard

 
COLORADO SPRINGS, CO (December 7, 2023) — A woman died following a two-car crash on South Powers Boulevard on Sunday, November 5.
 
According to the Colorado State Patrol, they received reports of the crash at 3:50 p.m. at the intersection of South Powers Boulevard and Fontaine Boulevard.
 
The incident involved a Ford Mustang and a Honda Civic. CSP said there was one person in each vehicle.
 
Paramedics transported the Ford driver to the hospital with unknown injuries. Officers only described him as a 22-year-old man from Colorado Springs. His name was not yet available.
 
The driver in the other vehicle, a Honda Civic, died in the incident. State Patrol said she was a Calhan resident. However, they have not yet released her identity.
 
CSP said that reckless driving on the part of the Mustang driver may have caused the collision.
 
Authorities continue to investigate the crash.
