Jayson Jimmy and Kamina Asimi Killed, Mickleen Daniel Arrested in Vancouver Accident

 
VANCOUVER, WA (December 7, 2023) — Two Portland residents, 23-year-old Jayson Jimmy and 21-year-old Kamina M. Asimi, died in a DUI crash on Sunday, November 5.
 
According to a Washington State Patrol, 20-year-old Mickleen Daniel, of Portland, drove a black 2010 Infiniti QX56 driven eastbound on Highway 500 just after midnight. Then the car went through the guardrail and off the overpass. After that, it overturned and landed on its top on Thurston Way.
 
Jimmy and Asimi, who were both passengers in the vehicle, died as a result of the crash.
 
Authorities said Jimmy died at the scene. Meanwhile, paramedics transported Asimi to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center, where she died.
 
Emergency responders also rushed Daniel to PeaceHealth. The extent of her injuries was not yet determined.
 
Officers said they charged Daniel with driving under the influence and vehicular homicide.
