Brittany Torres Struck and Killed by Suspected DUI Driver Ulise DeLao in Canyon
CANYON, TX (June 4, 2024) – The Canyon Police Department identified 27-year-old Brittany Torres who died in a pedestrian accident in the 1900 block of 10th Avenue on May 27.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the crash happened at approximately 1:05 AM. Based on a report, Torres was standing outside a vehicle at the time of the crash.
Due to unknown reasons, 28-year-old Ulise DeLao hit her. It was not clear why Torres was near the vehicle.
As a result, Torres suffered grave injuries and died at the scene.
Police then arrested DeLao for Intoxication Manslaughter charges.
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
