Brandy Martinez Dead, Nathan Zinn Hospitalized after Rollover Accident on 10 Freeway

 
REEVES COUNTY, TX (May 22, 2024) — An 18-year-old man, Brandy Martinez, of San Marcos, died in a rollover accident on Wednesday, May 8.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the crash took place on 10 Freeway near mile marker 193 at around 6:45 a.m.
 
Texas DPS said a 2002 Ford Explorer driven by Martinez veered onto the shoulder of the curved roadway. Then he overcorrected to the right. It then resulted in the vehicle rolling over multiple times.
 
Responding officers pronounced Martinez dead at the scene.
 
Paramedics also transported the front passenger to the University Medical Center of El Paso in stable condition. Officials identified him as 19-year-old Nathan Zinn, also of San Marcos.
 
The crash is still under investigation.
