Boy Struck and Injured by Hit-and-Run Driver on Elsie Faye Heggins Street in Dallas

 
DALLAS, TX (April 17, 2024) – Officials confirmed that a 5-year-old boy suffered serious injuries in a hit-and-run in the 2600 block of Elsie Faye Heggins Street on April 7.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the crash happened around 11:00 PM. Based on a report, the boy was crossing the road with an adult at the time of the crash. It was not clear if there was a crosswalk in the area.
 
Due to unknown reasons, a gold, four-door vehicle struck the boy and fled the scene.
 
As a result, the boy was seriously hurt in the incident.
 
Police are seeking help from the public to find the driver of the vehicle. They ask anyone with information to call Det. Sammy Shaw at (214) 671-0019.
