BOULDER, CO (April 30, 2024) – The Boulder Police Department confirmed that a bicyclist suffered serious injuries in a hit-and-run on Valmont Road on April 7.
 
According to the Colorado State Patrol, the crash happened between 30th Street and 29th Street. Based on a report, a truck hit the victim who was riding a bicycle on Valmont Road.
 
As a result, the cyclist sustained injuries in the crash. Crews transported the victim to the hospital for treatment.
 
Boulder police identified and arrested the truck driver through witness statements and a Flock Safety camera system, which reads car license plates. Officers charged the suspect with reckless driving, vehicular assault, and leaving the scene of an accident.
