KING COUNTY, WA (April 30, 2024) – Troopers confirmed that one person died in a multi-vehicle accident on Highway 18 on April 17.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened at 90 Freeway just after 5:00 AM. Based on a report, the victim was driving a car westbound on the highway before the crash.
 
Due to unknown reasons, the driver crossed the center line and struck a vehicle head-on. Officials said the vehicles involved were a bus and a semi-truck.
 
As a result, the driver suffered grave injuries in the incident. Emergency crews took the victim to Harborview Medical Center, where they later died. Officials did not yet release the deceased’s name, pending kin notification.
 
The incident blocked the eastbound and westbound lanes of the highway.
 
Officials did not believe drugs or alcohol were a factor.
