Bicyclist Fatally Injured after Las Vegas Hit-and-Run on East Gowan Road

 
LAS VEGAS, NV (October 3, 2023) — A 62-year-old bicyclist died after a hit-and-run accident on East Gowan Road on Sunday, October 1.
 
The crash happened at about 10:43 p.m. on East Gowan Road near Timberlake Drive, just east of Pecos Road.
 
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department said the driver of a Chrysler 300 drove eastbound on Gowan Road. Then they left the travel lane and hit the rear of the bicyclist. After that, the driver fled the scene.
 
Paramedics transported the bicyclist to University Medical Center where medical personnel pronounced him dead.
 
During the investigation, police found the Chrysler 300. However, the driver is still at large.

The incident is the 115th traffic-related death for 2023.
