Bertin Yesca Killed Identified in Fatal Crash on Highway 241 in Sunnyside

 
SUNNYSIDE, WA (May 2, 2023) – Troopers identified 32-year- old Bertin Jimenez Yesca of Sunnyside as the victim who died in a crash on Highway 241 on April 27.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened near milepost 18 about 8 miles north of Sunnyside.
 
Based on a report, the victim was a passenger in a vehicle that crashed in the lanes. A 17-year-old female driver failed to negotiate a curve. Subsequently, the vehicle left the roadway and rolled down an embankment.
 
As a result, Yesca suffered grave injuries and died in the incident.
 
The driver and a 14-year-old male passenger sustained injuries. Crews transported them to Astria Sunnyside Hospital for treatment.
 
At this point, an investigation into the accident is ongoing.
