Sarah Brown, Jacob Gray, and Benjamin Sapp Die in Runnels County Crash on Highway 67

 
RUNNELS COUNTY, TX (October 11, 2022) – Police confirmed the death of three people in a car accident on Highway 67 on October 6.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened 9.69 miles east of Ballinger.
 
Based on a report, 24-year-old Benjamin Nathaniel Sapp of Crowley was traveling east in a 2023 Kia Forte on the highway prior to the crash. As he tried to pass another vehicle on a curve in the roadway, his vehicle struck a 2022 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck.
 
As a result, Sapp and one of his passengers, 25-year-old Jacob Alexander Gray of Lewisville, died at the scene. A passenger in the truck, 48-year-old Sarah Evelyn Brown of Brownwood, also died at the scene.
 
The driver of the pickup, 51-year-old H.O. Akin III of Comanche, and Sapp’s other passenger, 22-year-old Lindsey Gale Perry-Gray, were taken to Shannon Medical Center for treatment of injuries.
 
As of now, the crash remains under investigation. In addition, no other details are available.
