Wrong-Way Driver Causes Fatal Head-On Crash on Wurzbach Parkway in San Antonio

 
SAN ANTONIO, TX (October 11, 2022) – Police confirmed two fatalities following a head-on crash in the 12500 block of Wurzbach Parkway on October 9.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened near Gateway San Antonio Medical Center at approximately 3:20 AM.
 
Based on a report, the driver of a Mitsubishi Lancer was driving the wrong-way prior to the crash. Subsequently, the vehicle collided head-on into a Camaro.
 
As a result, both drivers died at the scene. Officials did not yet release the victims’ names, pending notification of next of kin.
 
In addition, a passenger in the Camaro suffered severe injuries in the incident. Paramedics rushed the victim to the hospital in critical condition.
 
As of now, the crash remains under investigation. In addition, no other details are available.
