Benjamin Keys Dead in Car Accident on Martin Luther King Boulevard near Kenilwood Drive

 
HOUSTON, TX (December 29, 2023) — A man identified as 64-year-old Benjamin Keys died in a crash on Saturday, December 23.
 
According to Houston police, the accident took place at 7800 Martin Luther King Boulevard near Kenilwood Drive at about 8:40 p.m.
 
Reports said a white Infiniti QX60 moved northbound on Martin Luther King Boulevard. At the same time, a tan Chevrolet Venture driven by Keys headed westbound on Willow Glen Drive. Then the Infiniti failed to stop at the right of way at a stop sign. It resulted in the Infiniti hitting the Chevrolet.
 
Houston Fire Department paramedics rushed Keys to Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center. Doctors later pronounced him dead.
 
The 17-year-old male driver of the Infiniti stayed at the scene. Officials determined he was not under the influence. They questioned and then released him.
 
Authorities continue to investigate the crash.
