Benjamin Conder Killed, Javier Morales Injured in Crash on Highway 302 [Ector County, TX]

Benjamin Conder Identified in Fatal Semi-Truck Crash on Highway 302 in Ector County

 
ECTOR COUNTY, TX (March 12, 2024) – Officials identified 25-year-old Benjamin Oleg Conder of Odessa who died in a crash on Highway 302 on February 28.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened near Mile Marker 258 around 12:08 AM. Based on a report, Conder was driving a Ford Mustang the wrong way on the eastbound lanes prior to the crash.
 
At the same time, 29-year-old Javier Arturo Morales was driving a Freightliner truck with a trailer. Subsequently, Conder collided with Morales’ truck head-on.
 
As a result, Conder suffered grave injuries and died at the scene.
 
Morales sustained minor injuries and was transported to Medical Center Hospital.
 
As of now, the officers are investigating the crash. In addition, no other details are available.
