Leo Kelly Fatally Injured in Multi-Vehicle Accident in Phoenix

 
PHOENIX, AZ (March 12, 2024) — A man identified as 23-year-old Leo Kelly died in a multi-vehicle crash on Sunday, March 3.
 
According to Phoenix Fire, the incident occurred at about 6:30 p.m. near 23rd Avenue and Happy Valley Road, just east of the 17 Freeway.
 
Investigators determined that Kelly’s vehicle traveled west on Happy Valley Road and made a southbound turn onto 23rd Avenue. Then another vehicle struck it. After that, both vehicles collided with a parked city bus.
 
When officers arrived at the scene, they found two men with serious injuries. They transported one driver to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Meanwhile, they pronounced Kelly died at the scene.
 
Authorities later said there was no one inside the bus and no one else sustained injuries in the wreck.
 
Officers suspect impairment was a factor in the accident. However, there had no arrests have been made yet.
