Asya Marshall Involved in Fatal Pedestrian Accident on 10 Freeway in Houston

 
HOUSTON, TX (December 29, 2023) – The Houston Police Department arrested 32-year-old Asya Marshall following a fatal DUI accident in the 800 block of 10 Freeway on December 16.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened around 1:40 AM. Based on a report, a driver operating a gray Dodge Ram tow truck saw a Chevrolet Equinox and a Mercedes A220 involved in a minor crash.
 
The driver stopped to assist the two drivers who were standing outside their vehicles. At that time, Marshall crashed his gray Jeep Wrangler into the rear of the Dodge pickup truck. The Jeep continued and struck the rear of the Mercedes and then struck the driver of the Equinox.
 
As a result, the driver of the Equinox suffered grave injuries in the incident. Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and transported the victim to Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center, where he later died. Officials did not yet release his name, pending kin notification.
 
Officers detained Marshall at the scene. They charged her with intoxicated assault.
 
As of now, the case remains under investigation. In addition, no other details are available.
