Axell Garcia, Argen Garcia Killed in Gardendale Car Accident

 
GARDENDALE, TX (July 19, 2024) — Teen brothers identified as Argen Garcia and Axell Garcia died in a crash on Tuesday, June 25.
 
The fatal accident occurred at the intersection of FM 554 and Cottonwood Road at about 1:15 p.m.
 
Reports said the Garcia family traveled north in a GMC Acadia on FM 554 towards the intersection. At the same time, a Chevrolet truck moved west on Cottonwood Road toward the same intersection. Then the Chevrolet truck failed to yield the right of way and struck the SUV.
 
A City of Odessa post said responding officers pronounced 11-year-old Argen Garcia dead after the accident. His 16-year-old brother, Axell Garcia, died from sustained injuries in the crash on Sunday, June 30.
 
Loved ones said in a GoFundMe that the siblings’ other brother, 13-year-old Aceyn Garcia, sustained injuries in the incident. He has shown signs of improvement while receiving treatment at the hospital. Their mother, 41-year-old Angie Nicole Garcia, sustained multiple broken bones and underwent multiple surgeries.
 
The organizer of the GoFundMe said Angie and her son Aceyn will need to undergo months of physical therapy.
