Anthony Rodriguez and Kimberly Perez Identified in Fatal Head-On Crash in Baylor County

 
BAYLOR COUNTY, TX (December 19, 2023) – Troopers identified 34-year-old Anthony Rodriguez and 31-year-old Kimberly Perez who died in a head-on crash on Highway 82 on December 6.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened west of Seymour. Based on a report, Rodriguez was driving a passenger car with Perez west on the highway.
 
At the same time, 28-year-old Tanner Gillispie was driving a pickup truck east. For unknown reasons, Gillispie began driving on the wrong side of the road and struck the victim’s car head-on.
 
As a result, both Rodriguez and Perez sustained grave injuries and died at the scene. DPS reports both were of Lubbock.
 
Gillispie was taken to Seymour Hospital with non-incapacitating injuries.
 
As of now, the case remains under investigation. In addition, no other details are available.
