Anthony Holloway Killed in Las Vegas Accident
LAS VEGAS, NV (May 4, 2023) – The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department identified 32-year-old Anthony Holloway of Las Vegas who died in a rollover accident on South Durango Drive on April 30.
According to the Nevada Highway Patrol, the collision happened north of West Desert Inn Road around 12:15 AM. Based on a report, Holloway was driving a 2021 Dodge Charger northbound on South Durango Drive at a high rate of speed prior to the crash.
As he approached West Desert Inn, he lost control, veered off the roadway, rolled over, and hit signs and landscaping. The car came to rest on its passenger side in a private driveway north of a commercial business on South Durango.
As a result, Holloway suffered grave injuries and died in the incident.
His passenger, 31-year-old Sherell Dupree, suffered minor injuries. A pedestrian, 36-year-old Erika Gibbons, was struck by debris from the crash. Crews took the victims to University Medical Center for treatment.
The crash is under investigation by Metro’s collision investigation section.
