Crystal Conover Dies in Phoenix Head-On Car Crash

 
PHOENIX, AZ (May 4, 2023) – The Phoenix Police Department identified 41-year-old Crystal Conover as the victim who died in a head-on crash on 14th Avenue on May 1.
 
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Thunderbird Road. Based on a report, Conover had been in an altercation involving family members prior to the crash.
 
She was driving east in the westbound lanes of Thunderbird when she collided with a truck head-on. Subsequently, her vehicle caught fire in the incident.
 
As a result, Conover suffered grave injuries and died in the incident.
 
The driver of the truck suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
 
It is unknown if impairment played a role in the crash. As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
