Pheakday Heng Identified in Fatal ATV Crash in Ennis; Jaylee Wooley, Shaquille Dickerson and Carrie Heng Injured
ELLIS COUNTY, TX (May 4, 2023) – Officers identified 46-year-old Pheakday Heng of Ennis as the victim who died in an ATV crash on Whitfill Road on April 29.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened just northwest of FM-1182. Based on a report, 40-year-old Carrie Heng of Ennis was driving a 2021 Honda Pioneer ATV northwest on Whitfill Road at an unsafe speed prior to the crash.
Subsequently, she lost control of the vehicle, causing it to flip on its left side and eject all of its occupants.
As a result, Pheakday, an occupant of the ATV, died at the scene.
Carrie suffered injuries. Crews transported her and her other passengers, 19-year-old Jaylee Wooley of Corsicana and 27-year-old Shaquille Dickerson of Waxahachie, to Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas.
As of now, the case remains under investigation. In addition, no other details are available.
