Anthony Duarte Fatally Hits Pedestrian on Palms Drive in Fort Mohave

 
FORT MOHAVE, AZ (November 29, 2023) – The Mohave County Sheriff’s Office arrested 30-year-old Anthony David Duarte following a pedestrian accident in the 2100 block of Palms Drive on November 18.
 
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at approximately 2:15 AM. Based on a report, Duarte called in officers to report that another vehicle hit a pedestrian.
 
When officers arrived at Duarte’s home, they found the victim with serious injuries.
 
The pedestrian later died at the hospital. Officials did not yet disclose the victim’s name, pending kin notification.
 
The sheriff’s office later determined that Duarte, after giving a series of conflicting statements to investigators, was the one who had hit the victim.
 
He is now facing a second-degree murder charge.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
