Anthony Davis, Bennie Dansby, and James Samuel Killed after Cochise County Crash
COCHISE COUNTY, AZ (December 4, 2024) — 37-year-old Anthony Odell Davis, of Maricopa, and two others died in a crash on Sunday, November 24.
The Arizona Department of Public Safety said along Highway 80, at around eight miles south of St. David and near Tombstone,
AZDPS said a red Infinity SUV traveled east on Highway 80. Then the driver crossed the center-striped median and struck three motorcycles.
Three people died in the incident. Responding officers pronounced 37-year-old Anthony Odell Davis, of Maricopa, and 40-year-old Bennie Melvin Eugene Dansby, of Glendale, dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, paramedics transported 55-year-old James Maurice Samuel, of Maricopa, to the hospital. He later succumbed to his injuries.
DPS says only identified the driver of the SUV as a 41-year-old male from Huachuca.
Officers believe impairment played a role in the crash. They said that criminal charges will be filed upon completion of the investigation.
