Anna Galindo Identified in Fatal Crash on Highway 18 at FM 1776 in Ward County

 
WARD COUNTY, TX (July 5, 2023) – Officials identified 35-year-old Anna Gabriela Galindo of Presidio who died in a crash on Highway 18 on June 25.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at FM 1776 around 12:45 PM. Based on the report, Galindo was driving a Nissan Sentra and was stopped at a stop sign on FM 1776.
 
As she was about to turn north onto the highway, she failed to yield the right of way to the driver of a Toyota 4Runner. Subsequently, the Toyota struck her Nissan.
 
As a result, Galindo suffered grave injuries and died at the scene.
 
Crews took three children in her vehicle, ages eight, 13, and 16, to Ward Memorial Hospital in stable conditions. The driver of the Toyota, a 52-year-old woman from Grandfalls, also sustained injuries.
 
Currently, the case remains under investigation. In addition, no other details are available.
