Angela Aguilar Identified in Fatal Single-Vehicle Crash in Oldham County
OLDHAM COUNTY, TX (August 15, 2024) – Authorities identified 20-year-old Angela Aguilar of Hereford who died in a rollover crash on 40 Freeway on August 3.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened about 6.5 miles west of Adrian around 10:34 AM. Based on a report, Aguilar was driving a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado west on the freeway at the time of the crash.
Due to unknown reasons, she failed to maintain a single lane and left the roadway. The pickup then entered the center median and rolled over multiple times across the center median and eastbound lanes into the south ditch, where it came to a final rest. The impact ejected her and two unsecured occupants inside the pickup.
As a result, Aguilar and two girls, ages 15 and 9, suffered grave injuries and died at the scene.
Crews transported a 5-month-old baby to Amarillo Northwest Texas Hospital for treatment. The baby was safely secured in the truck during the crash.
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
