AURORA, CO (August 15, 2024) — A 39-year-old wife and mother, Tammy Burchfield, died in a motorcycle accident on Sunday, July 21.

According to the Aurora Police, Tammy tried crossing the intersection at Ironton Street and Alameda Avenue at about 11:30 a.m. Sunday. She crossed midblock in front of the motorcycle that struck her.

Tammy’s husband, John Burchfield, said that he was in the area when the accident occurred. According to him, Tammy crossed going to a 7-Eleven to buy sports and energy drinks as they planned to spend the day at the park with their children. Then the crash happened.
