AMARILLO, TX (September 19, 2024) — A 28-year-old man identified as Andrew Spring died in a motorcycle accident on Tuesday, September 10.
 
According to Amarillo police, the accident happened at about 10:30 a.m. at Soncy Road and West Amarillo Boulevard.
 
Officers said a 2022 Mazda 9 moved southbound on Soncy Road. Then it made an eastbound turn onto West Amarillo Boulevard. Then a northbound 2024 CF Moto Sport motorcycle driven by Spring on Soncy Road struck the side of the Mazda.
 
The impact of the collision ejected Spring from the motorcycle.
 
Upon arrival, officers found Spring with life-threatening injuries. Paramedics then transported him to an area hospital, where he later died.
 
Meanwhile, the driver of the Mazda was not hurt. However, a passenger in the vehicle sustained minor injuries.
