Ana Hollins-Esquivel Killed in Palm Desert Car Accident
PALM DESERT, CA (November 10, 2022) – Police identified 22-year-old Ana Maria Hollins-Esquivel of Indio as the victim who died in a crash on 10 Freeway on November 8.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened in the eastbound lanes of the freeway, west of Washington Street around 3:20 AM.
Based on a report, Hollis-Esquivel was traveling on the lanes at the time of the crash. Due to unknown reasons, she lost control of her Ford Escape and struck the rear of a Honda Accord. Subsequently, her vehicle collided with some Tamarisk trees and overturned on its side.
As a result, the Riverside County Coroner said the victim died in the incident. She was not wearing a seatbelt at that time.
The Honda was found unoccupied on the right shoulder.
It is not clear if drugs or alcohol is a contributor to the crash.
At this point, the officers continue to investigate the case. In addition, no other details are available.
