Amil Suljic Killed in Car Accident on Highway 287 at County Road 25 [Clarendon, TX]

Amil Suljic Identified in Fatal Car Crash in Clarendon

 
CLARENDON, TX (January 10, 2023) – Officers identified 58-year-old Amil Suljic of Fort Worth as the victim who died in a car accident on Highway 287 on January 4.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at County Road 25. Based on a report, Suljic’s 2021 Volvo truck tractor towing a semi-trailer was traveling behind a 2013 Peterbilt truck tractor towing a semi-trailer at the time of the crash.
 
As the 2013 Peterbilt was slowing down to turn right onto CR 25, Suljic failed to control his speed and struck the Peterbilt.
 
The impact caused his semi-trailer to come to rest on top of the trailer that the Peterbilt was towing. Then, the rest of the 2013 Peterbilt jack-knifed and came to a rest party in the south ditch.
 
As a result, Suljic died at the scene due to grave injuries.
 
The driver of the Peterbilt was not hurt.
 
As of now, the crash remains under investigation. However, no other information is known at this time.
