Amber Chowning, Dalton Shaffer, and Bryanna Pedroza Hospitalized after Lubbock Car Accident

 
LUBBOCK, TX (October 1, 2024) — Amber Chowning, Dalton Shaffer, and Bryanna Pedroza were injured in a car accident on Friday, September 20.
 
According to the Lubbock Police Department, the two-vehicle accident occurred around 10:05 a.m. on Clovis Road and North Detroit Avenue.
 
Lubbock Police Department said an SUV driven by 41-year-old Chowing traveled west in the 2800 block of Clovis Road. Then it crashed with a car driven by 21-year-old Pedroza driving east.
 
When officers arrived, they found Chowning, Shaffer, and Pedroza. 30-year-old Shaffer sustained life-threatening injuries and paramedics brought her to University Medical Center. Lubbock Police later said that Shaffer was upgraded to a stable condition.
 
Paramedics also transported Chowning to UMC with minor injuries. Meanwhile, medics also brought Pedroza to Covenant Medical Center with minor injuries.
 
There were no reports of any arrests made.
