Alyssa Schoeneman Killed, Joshua Koppenol and Alan Hernandez Seriously Injured in Crash on Old San Antonio Road [Bryan, TX]

Alyssa Schoeneman Identified in Fatal Car Crash in Bryan

 
BRYAN, TX (April 1, 2024) – Officials identified 22-year-old Alyssa Schoeneman of Hallettsville who died in a crash on Old San Antonio Road on March 25.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the crash happened around 11:20 AM. Based on a report, Schoeneman was a passenger in a 2009 Toyota Corolla traveling westbound on the road before the crash.
 
At the same time, a 2019 Kia Optima was traveling eastbound. Due to unknown reasons, the Kia passed in a no-passing zone and struck the victim’s vehicle head-on.
 
As a result, the victim suffered grave injuries and died in the incident.
 
The driver of the Toyota, 22-year-old Joshua Koppenol of Hallettsville, was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the Kia, 17-year-old Alan Hernandez, also suffered serious injuries.
 
As of now, the officers are investigating the crash. In addition, no other details are available.
