Alfredo Cuellar, Leopoldo Arreola and Arnoldo Torres Identified in Fatal Andrews County Crash

 
ANDREWS COUNTY, TX (September 5, 2023) – 21-year-old Alfredo Cuellar of Laredo, 21-year-old Arnoldo Torres of San Antonio and 40-year-old Leopoldo Arreola died in a crash on FM 1788 on August 20.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened near Gardendale. Based on a report, Cuellar was traveling north on FM 1788 prior to the crash. At the same time, Arreola was towing a horse trailer on the southbound lane.
 
Due to unknown reasons, Arreola veered in the northbound lane and hit Cuellar’s truck.
 
As a result, both Cuellar and Arreola sustained grave injuries and died at the scene. Torres, one of Cuellar’s passengers, also died in the incident.
 
Crews took another passenger in Cuellar’s car, 22-year-ol Juan Lopez, to Permian Regional Medical Center. They also rushed two minor passengers in Arreola’s truck, ages 9 and 14, to Midland Memorial Hospital in stable condition.
 
As of now, the case remains under investigation. In addition, no other details are available.
